About Course

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, popularly known as GATE, is a national level examination conducted to test a candidate’s understanding of undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administer GATE for close to 10 lakh applicants every year. Engineering colleges (including premier colleges like the IITs and IISc) across the country accept the GATE score for admissions to post-graduate programs like M.E., M.Tech, etc. Based on the GATE score, some candidates would also be eligible to receive financial assistance from the Ministry of Human Resource Development and other Government Agencies. GATE scores are also being used by various Private and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for employment screening purposes.

This course on GATE prep is designed to help you prepare comprehensively for GATE. This course is based on the latest syllabus and hence promises to keep you up-to-date with your GATE preparation.

The exam pattern for the engineering students will contain three main sections. Engineering Mathematics and General Aptitude each carrying around 15% of the total marks and the rest 70% includes questions on the subject of the paper (CS, Mech, Electrical etc.)

This course is designed for the students taking up Computer Science paper in GATE. You will get a detailed understanding of all the sections of the GATE which includes:

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Verbal Aptitude
  4. Engineering Mathematics

The first four sections being common to any engineering test taker, the final section will focus on the GATE Computer Science topics. The topics under discussion include:
