Imagine the world where the term language is alien and does not exist. Now teleport yourself into a city where you are not familiar with the vernacular language which is spoken by people. In both these scenarios an individual would have to brave all odds in order to make a simple conversation.
Take for instance India, where every state has its own language for official and colloquial communication. No doubt Hindi is a language known to the masses but it cannot be certainly stated to be so. This scenario can either be solved by developing familiarity with all the languages (a herculean task) or by learning Sanskrit.
To all of us, it is well-known, repeated and understood fact that Sanskrit forms the basis of all the languages that we speak today. Every language in India has the majority of its words derived from Sanskrit. Studies reveal Sanskrit to be as spoken and imbibed during the era of 600 BC. People in India should take pride in learning this age-old language which connects us with our traditions and epics.
