Shashank Giri was born on 19 June 1989 in Bangalore. He was taught devotional songs by his parents & his grandmother, which made them his first Gurus. At the tender age of 6, he stepped into the world of music under the guidance of Carnatic classical teacher�Smt Saraswati. From here his formal training in music began. He has given close to 2000 performances till date at various occasions and stages. With his knowledge in different formats of music, he blends some of the best nuances of different classical forms in his performances. This has given a completely new dimension of flavour to his presentation on stage and recordings. He also mastered the art of playing Keyboard with his own efforts.
