Solving the Rubik’s Cube has evolved from being an activity to eliminate boredom to being a fiercely competitive game on a global scale. New records are being created on a regular basis in various categories of solving the cube. This increase in interest among enthusiasts has taken the sport of cubing to a whole new level.
Standard 3×3 cubes can be solved by various methods and algorithms. However, one of the quickest methods to solve a 3×3 is the CFOP method. It was in the 1980s that professional cubers invented this amazing method of solving the Rubik’s cube by combining different cube-solving innovations. This method functions based on a layer-by-layer system. Firstly, a cross is solved at the bottom of the cube. Next, the first two layers (F2L) are solved, followed by orienting the last layer (OLL), and finally permuting the last layer (PLL). The CFOP method established its dominance in 2000 and it is still used by top speed cubers from across the globe.
This Rubik’s cube online tutorial deals with teaching you C, the first step in the CFOP method of 3×3 Rubik’s Cube solving. The C, as you might have guessed, stands for Cross. This involves getting a cross of a particular color appear on one side of the Rubik’s cube. While this can be achieved in 8 moves or less, learning how to do it and practising it to perfection is a little tricky.
Course Objectives:
This Rubiks cube tutorial videos are designed to:
